Weekend Spotlight

Summer of Golf

Shorecliffs Golf Club, San Clemente Municipal Course, Talega Golf Club, Monarch Beach Golf Links, San Juan Hills Golf Club

The Summer of Golf series examined the sport’s post-pandemic popularity boom at local courses in South Orange County and showcased the play of each course through the eyes of our resident normal, below-average new golfer - sports editor Zach Cavanagh.

Zach took a South Orange County tour of the five public golf courses in San Clemente, Dana Point and San Juan Capistrano, and wrote about what each course offers and how it played for his round, including all the bare truth about the ups and many downs. No shaving strokes here.

Click the link below to find and read each installment in this Summer of Golf series, and get your way out to your local course this weekend.
